Cleaning and Planting

Went to all the cemeteries yesterday to clean around them and plants flowers.  Hal's  parents are buried in New Haven.

His grandparents are buried in Willard area,

The bloom is from a tulip tree in the Willard area cemetery.
His other grandparents are buried near Attica.

My parents were cremated and we have a memorial at my brother's home.

Artichokes in Bloom

This is what happens when you let artichokes go to seed.  Aren't they beautiful!  A friend sent these pics to me from Yuma, these are from the field we kept watching but they did not bloom before we left.

Mother's Day Hike

We went for a hike at Pine Hill Farm today then over to Crall Woods for a wildflower walk, altogether about 3 hours.  Some wildflowers were gone, but we still saw a few.
Also saw some Iridescent Buntings nesting in bluebird houses.
