Beautiful Weather

The weather here has been beautiful, a little hot yesterday, but we spent several hours at the pool. Hobbes only wants to go out in the morning and evening, I think it is too hot for him at all other times. Today we will take another break and go to the movies, "Life As We Know It". Looks funny.

Arizona

We arrived in Yuma, AZ yesterday afternoon. So glad not to be traveling for a while. It is breezy today, which made it tolerable to work and get everything set-up. Had to set up Direct TV, get shed cleaned out and hook up washer, hook up sewage. H put up antenna for local stations last night. Will try to talk H into resting tomorrow, maybe go to the pool.

New Mexico

We are now in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Drove into the wind all day, very gusty, had to go slower. If it is like this tomorrow we will stay put another day. H was really tired from driving.

Happy Birthday

Happy 12th Birthday, Doug. Hope it was fun. We missed seeing you today.
Happy Anniversary to Terry and Nikki.
Tonight we are in Ft. Stockton, TX. It just seems like you drive forever through this state.

Rookie of the Year

Elle received award for rookie of the year for high school tennis. Hope she continues to enjoy the sport.

Sun Time

Here we are in Biloxi, MS, under a shade tree. Pic of beach across the street from us. I worked yesterday, it was a slow day, only saw 24 patients in the Bethel Free Clinic. No Doc today so can enjoy the sun. Work again tomorrow. H is working this AM and tomorrow if they need him. Below is a self shot at the beach. The sands look beautiful, but am told there is oil beneath them.

We will be here until Saturday AM.

Biloxi

Hobbes was sick most of day before we left, had vomiting, abdominal cramping and constipation. Not good for a cat. Finally he is OK.
Truck is repaired and we made it to Biloxi, MS by 9:15 PM. I work tomorrow at 8 AM at Free Clinic. Had almost nothing to eat today, so hope I feel OK tomorrow.

Unexpected Delay

Well, we have a little longer stop than planned in Montgomery, ALA. Last night after setting up in a campground, we went to get fuel and out to dinner. The truck started sounding like it was missing then started to make lots of noise and didn't seem to have any power. It finally died, H did get it on a service road first. So after an hour wait we were towed to our campsite, now must wait until Monday to get someone to repair it. Just glad we did not have the the 5th wheel attached at the time.
Doesn't really matter if you have the truck checked over before you leave on a trip. Things go wrong.

Birthday Party and Travel

No more freezing, we are on our way, left Friday AM, now in Montgomery, ALA. Below is H blowing out the many candles on a cake, early for a birthday during the winter.

T The party was really for Terry, as his birthday is this month. Elle wanted to blow out candles for her birthday during the winter, also. Actually Terry's mother did candles, too. The room looked like someone started a fire.

Fall 2010

I love the coolness of fall, but the dampness I could do without. A week and 3 days until we leave. Warm weather here we come.
