Lake Erie

Nikki sent me these photos of Lake Erie, taken yesterday. It is cold and windy here in Yuma today, just glad we do not have Ohio's kind of cold.

Christmas Day

We ate under the trees, warm but breezy. Way too much food. A really good day. Games until late in the evening.

Christmas Eve in Yuma

A fire and Christmas carols with friends. Fun! A little cool, and a slight breeze, a sweatshirt was just great. The gloves H is wearing are for loading wood into the fire so he doesn't pick up a scorpion or spider.

Cat Puzzle

Margaret and H have finished the cat puzzle, 1000 pieces. They said it was a difficult one. Now that it is done we can use table to put food on for Christmas Day. No more puzzles until after Christmas.

Christmas in Vegas

Hoover Dam

On way home from Vegas, we stopped at the Hoover Dam, these pics were taken from the new bridge that was built to keep truck traffic off dam. They have it set up with a walkway so everyone can get a good view of the dam.

Las Vegas

We went up to Las Vegas over the weekend to meet Nikki and Terry, they had flown out to see Dave Matthews perform. This pic was taken in the Palazzo, where we stayed.

Nikki and H. Below are pics of our suite. Nicest room we have ever had. The curtains operate with a remote. 3 TVs, 1 in the bathroom.





We did a gondola ride, this canal is in the Palazzo. She sang 2 songs while she paddled along.

Flowers

Saw these flowers near a welding shop where we stopped to get a track for our gate. Thought they were pretty. Lots of flowers this time of year.

Christmas Lights

Haven't quite figured out how to take pics of lights without them blurring. This is the front of 5th wheel.

Painting Gates

Today H and I painted gates to our property. H scraped the rust and prepared, I painted most of the large gate across drive and H painted small fence. This has taken majority of the day. 1 space is rented and they will pull in tomorrow. Hope to rent the other space soon.

First Puzzle of the Winter

H put this puzzle together alone, Margaret is not here yet to help. Sheila brought the puzzles but does not put them together. Again using the playhouse as extra room to put these together. Thanks, Vicki.

Another Moose

Hobbes resting as usual, though he does like to go for a walk in the evening.
Nikki sent us this moose, dressed for the winter, he might need a swimsuit in Arizona.

Our friends, Sheila and George arrived Thursday evening after dark. It is almost impossible to back in an RV in the dark into a small space. They brought this moose for us.

View of our Lot

We hired someone to clean up the lot we bought, now all we need to do is get 50amp service on east side of lot, turn on electric and water and we will be all set.
The foothill pic is from the front of our lot. This bug was on the screen covering the back of our little fridge outside. No idea what it is, but it is colorful.

Beautiful Weather

The weather here has been beautiful, a little hot yesterday, but we spent several hours at the pool. Hobbes only wants to go out in the morning and evening, I think it is too hot for him at all other times. Today we will take another break and go to the movies, "Life As We Know It". Looks funny.

Arizona

We arrived in Yuma, AZ yesterday afternoon. So glad not to be traveling for a while. It is breezy today, which made it tolerable to work and get everything set-up. Had to set up Direct TV, get shed cleaned out and hook up washer, hook up sewage. H put up antenna for local stations last night. Will try to talk H into resting tomorrow, maybe go to the pool.
