California Visitors
Christa and Bart came from San Diego for a visit on their way to Phoenix. They came Friday afternoon. We went to see Australia at the movies last evening, went to the flea market this AM, had lunch, then they were off to Phoenix until Sunday PM. It was good to see them. Christa was home to Ohio in August, but hadn't seen Bart since last January.

Thanksgiving
We went to the resorts Thanksgiving Day dinner today, very large turnout.
This couple we met last week at the happy hour and played cards with them that night. Gene and Edna from Vancouver.
Gene and Birdie from Washington.
George and Sheila from Alberta.
Some pictures of the hall where dinner was served.
Post sunset the night before the rain came in.

Meeting New People
Yesterday we went to "Happy Hour" here at the resort. Since we didn't see anyone we had already met, we sat with a couple from Alberta, Canada and another couple from Vancouver, Canada. We all had a really good time talking and laughing. Both those couples are renting park models here, so they invited us to play cards after dinner. We played Sequence, guys against the girls, the girls only won 1 game, the guys always got all the Jacks.
The park is pretty empty right now, but it really fills up at the beginning of January. It is quiet here now.
H and I went out to walk Hobbes and he started talking to the Canadian farmer across from us, He hasn't come back yet. But he does like to talk!

We Made it to Yuma
Some pics taken on the way to Yuma.
Hobbes in his favorite position while traveling.
We made it to Yuma about 5PM, thinking we would get set before dark. Well, when we got to the site, H noticed that the rear tire on the 5th wheel was about flat, the tread had separated. H backed it in to the space but we didn't want to level and put out the slides until the tire was changed. We called Emergency Road Service, they said someone would be here in 45 minutes, it was really 1 and 1/2 hours. While we were waiting we did all we could to get ready, getting out all the cords and hoses, etc. We did meet the neighbors when the truck with all the flashing lights showed up. So after the tire was changed, it was dark, setting up in the dark requires flashlights and faith that what you are seeing is correct. We finished the set up today( sewer connections, getting the grill out and lights up. Now we are all comfy, except the ground is too hard to put the awning anchors in. Hope the wind doesn't kick up before we can get them in.

In Texas
We are in Texas, about 200 miles from El Paso. Last night we were in Boerne, TX. We were going to stop about 2PM yesterday, but as were turned from 1604 onto I-10 north of San Antonio, the road was completely closed. They routed everyone off onto a frontage road , one lane. It took about an hour to go a little over 2 miles. They are doing road construction. This AM as were about to get on I-10, 2 very large, slow moving, oversized trucks with 3 patrol cars with them, were getting off I-10. They needed to make a turn which took a long time. Oh well, I guess that is why we are retired, so we don't have to hurry anywhere.
We are definitely moving slower than last year, Hobbes and I both don't like being in the truck too long. He has improved this year, though. He now knows that he needs to use the litter box at some time during the day, and lets me know by meowing continuously until we stop and let him in Moose(the 5th wheel). But he doesn't want to eat cat food while we are traveling, he thinks people food is his right.
Tomorrow we will be in New Mexico.

Last day in Biloxi.
Family! again.
My last entry published before I was done. These pictures indicate why we keep family hidden. Just kidding. The pictures are of Todd and his family, Jen (wife), Sam (daughter), Doug and Matt (sons). Can you guess which ones are the boys?

Bethel Free Health Clinic
This week has been different at the clinic. We did not have a doctor on Monday or today, only had doctor 1/2 day on Tuesday. So yesterday afternoon and today I have been doing data entry of visits. I am picking up speed. But sitting a t a computer for 8 hours is not something I am used to. Tomorrow we have a doctor all day.
Saturday we leave for Yuma, AZ. Will probably take about 4 days. H always enjoys the stay in Biloxi, so I think we are leaving on Saturday, but you never know.

Prayer Shawls
A group from Oakland County, Michigan, brought several boxes of lap robes and prayer shawls down to Mississippi. They presented them to Judy, second from right, who runs the free clinic.
I have been working in the free health clinic this week and will work there next week, also. H has been working out in houses, he has done gutting of houses and is now doing flooring and door framing. He keeps busy.
The weather has been great, warm in the high 70s, and sunny. Today we had rain and it is only 64. But, unlike Ohio, it will warm back up here. We will be in MS until the 15th when we leave for Yuma, AZ for the winter.

In Biloxi
Rest stop on way to Biloxi, Hobbes taking a walk.
Apparently Hobbes didn't want to pose.
H did a really good job parking the Moose between 2 other campers at Camp Biloxi. Not much space left.
Hobbes taking a nap while we were out working a our Biloxi jobs.
H is working tearing a house apart and I am working at the free clinic again. The clinic has been moved to a different temporary location to give the church back their space. Another site is under renovation and will be open sometime this winter.

Family Time
Elle and Sam doing the nail polish and make-up thing.
Terry and Nikki getting ready for OSU game. Can you tell he is a fan?!
Griff and Doug doing their own football practice.
Jen making Wii people.
Todd with his Wii person that Jen made for him.
Matt just having fun.
The weekend before we left, we got together with Nikki and her family and Todd and his family. It will be a while before we see them again. We all had a really good time. The grandchildren are all growing so fast, no longer small enough to hold on my lap. The oldest grandchild, Elle is as tall as her Mom now and only a few inches shorter than me.
