Friends Arrived

George and Sheila from Alberta, Canada arrived Thursday, just in time for the weather cool down. It is only 66 degrees right now at 3PM It rained last night.
H helped George get his Arizona room put up, before they got it tied down the wind picked up in gusts and dust was blowing, they could barely see. At least they finished before the rain started.
The weather has been great for getting work done outside, I don't like the really hot(in the 90s) weather, which it was when we arrived.
The patio we are putting in has been started, we ordered the pavers and sand, have been working to remove gravel from the area we are doing. H is getting the proper slope in so rain will run off away from RV. Monday the supplies come, so we will be busy then. The pavers are 16" square and each weighs in at 39lbs. Fun moving those critters around.

Arizona Here We Come

Kansas, we can't find Dorothy or Toto, but we did find Ike! Below the field is Missouri, tress are in Indiana. All these places look just like Ohio. We left home Saturday AM, drove to Greenville, Illinois 460 miles. Today we made it to Salina, Kansas, 490 miles. Very tired. Hobbes slept on our luggage last night, I think he wanted to make sure we did not forget him. Tonight he is on the bed, I think he is more tired than we are. He would not drink and only ate a few bites of ham today, would not potty outside. When we stopped at hotel, he ran to litter box, when finished there he drank and drank and drank. Then he ate some food. Hopefully tomorrow he will settle and eat as we travel.

My Birthday!

H made the cake for me, my favorite, German Chocolate. Decided not to put all the candles on it, the cake would have burned before I could have blown them all out. He put 6, thought I could handle that, still 1 would not go out. Had a fun day, lunch and shopping, though we only bought for a baby shower, manicure, then home where H was planning on grilling steaks for supper, but neither of us are hungry. Guess steaks will be tomorrow evening.

Fall Weather

So glad the weather is sunny, yet cool. Will start getting ready for our trek westward soon. I love the fall season, except for the fact that it means winter is coming. We have trimmed all the trees we can reach, Friday a tree person is coming to trim the tall ones.
We got the mowing done over the weekend, just before it rained yet again. Which means I will probably have to mow every week right up until we leave.
H is outside fertilizing the blueberries and some other bushes. He likes to be out in the cool weather.
