Independence Day
July 4th was lots of fun, we went to Vermilion to spend the weekend with Nikki and family. Saturday was cloudy, but the temps were comfortable. That evening we built a fire on the beach for s'mores, and watched the fireworks. There were fireworks going off over our heads. People at the far ends of the beach were doing them, as well as some people just a few hundred yards from us. These were really good fireworks, not just bottle rockets. Besides these , we could also see the firework displays at Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, and Lorain. We watched for over an hour.
Sunday we woke up to beautiful sunshine and warm temps. Really nice weekend!

Interesting Anniversary!
We had an interesting 43rd wedding anniversary last week. We went to Vermilion to spend a few days at the Terry and Nikki's cottage on Lake Erie. I got sick on the 17th, stomach pain then vomiting. I finally had H take me to the ER, because the pain was almost intolerable. After 7 hours in the ER for X-rays, labs, CT, IVs, and an nasogastric tube, I was admitted to the hospital with a possible small bowel obstruction. Being on the receiving end of medical care rather than the providing end, gives me a whole new perspective. I am home now and feeling better, I do not want to go thru that again.
Next week I start work at Home Health again. I have been retired for 2 years, but decided to go back to work this summer, just for the summer. It will make for a busy summer, but one that will go fast, then back to Arizona for the winter.

Little Red Foxes
H went for a walk toward the back of Mom's pasture, he saw a large hole, thinking it was a groundhog hole, but three red foxes came out and started playing in the field. He didn't have the camera with him, but he called me and with the binoculars I could see them very well. One got adventurous and walked over very near H. I wish I had pics.
