Hard life of a cat(well at least this cat)
We went to Round Rock, north of Austin, yesterday to visit with Michelle(my neice) and family. This is Aden and Azul having a little fun.
Hal is always ready to play games, giant Frisbee this time.
Clockwise, Carlos, Michelle, Aden, and Azul. We visited, played Marbles, cards, and ate. Michelle and Carlos made an excellent dinner, we ate outside in the warmth of a Texan evening. We are hoping that they can come down to New Braunfels to see us before we leave, the girls can swim, ride bikes and play some more games.
Guess what, we are not going to San Marcos. Spring break is going on in the area, so many families are camping, no sites available in San Marcos. When we left Fredericksberg this AM, I started calling, first the park we stayed at last year, then all others. Finally found one in New Braunfels, Hill Country RV Resort, we like it so we are staying our 2 weeks here. Hobbes is glad, I don't think he wanted another day in the truck.
Today we spent 1 1/2 hours waiting for a service truck to change our tire. This is the last of the original tires, one went flat in Yuma, trad separation, then this blowout today. Keystone Montana must put cheap tires on their rigs, this tire had only about 12,000 miles on it.
Now Monday night was more fun, we stayed in Benson, AZ, Butterfield RV Resort has an observatory, we spent an hour last PM watching the stars, we saw the comet fading, won't be back for a thousand years, we also saw many groupings of stars and Saturn.
Neighbors Lyle, their visiting friend Darlene, and Margaret. They are from Saskatchewan
Lyle and Darlene, with Molly on her lap.
Brandy sitting on Margaret's lap. Brandy belongs in the 5th wheel next door.
Molly is a protective little critter, she is looking sweet here.
Trying to jump across the table to get me because I was gesturing with my hands.
Our neighbors, Sheila and George with Lacy, Brutus, and Justy on the ground. Sheila and George took care of Hobbes for us this winter when we took side trips. They are from Alberta.
Cleopatra, she knows she is beautiful.
Cleo belongs to Ron and Barbara from New York.
Vicky with her dog Brandy. They are from northern California and she volunteers to help rescue seals in Oregon. We will miss them all, we left this morning for San Marcos, Texas.
Vicky, a neighbor here in Yuma, sent me these pics of the first rescued pup of the season. She volunteers for seal rescue in Oregon.
